Prior to joining Baird in 2022, Scott was a Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley. He began his career in the financial services industry in 2013.
Scott and his wife Monica have lived in Durango since 2006 with their three children. He is actively involved in the community through the Durango Kiwanis volunteer service organization and is chair of the annual Kiwanis charity golf tournament. Volunteering has included youth sports coaching in the Durango community. Hobbies include skiing, biking, running, hunting & fishing.
Scott is currently studying for the Certified Private Wealth Advisor exam with an expected completion date in the fall of 2025. Scott’s focus is on retirement plan management for individuals and businesses. He is responsible for client service and new business plan acquisitions for the Helms/Shadid team.
Prior to his career in financial services, Scott held many positions with Fortune 500 companies, including AT&T, Lucent Technologies, Avaya, and Cablevision.
